Obituary from the Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, Thursday, December 16, 1971: Merle L. Hosier of Dawn Dies Services Sunday. Merle Lee Hosier, 52, RFD 1, Dawn, died yesterday at the Chillicothe hospital. He is survived by his wife, Helen, of the home; two daughters, Martha Hosier, Chillicothe, and Merliene Hosier, Higginsville, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hosier, Braymer. Mr. Hosier was born Aug. 7, 1919, the son of Wayne Hosier and Lulu Wells, In Carroll County. On Oct. 1, 1945 he was married to Helen Phillips. Funeral Services will be held Sunday afternoon at [?] o'clock at the Church of Christ in Braymer the Rev. Wilford Landes will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pitts Funeral home in Braymer until 12 o'clock at which time it will be taken to the church.
