Mary F. Mercer

Daily Ledger" Wednesday, December 10, 1879, Page 3, Column 7: Many of our people will be surprised to learn of the death of Samuel R. RISTINE, which occurred in this city Thursday last, after a lingering illness. He was one of our early settlers, and many of his old friends followed the remains to their final resting place Friday afternoon. His age was 50 years, 9 months and 11 days. He leaves a wife and three children who have the sympathy of the entire community.
Note: His wife was Mary F. MERCER, who married James HICKENBOTTOM* after Samuel's death. She died in 1885 and is buried with Samuel, in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Lot Old.P.341.
