Kansas City Star, Kansas City, Missouri, Sunday, November 23, 1924, Page 5, Col. 5: Death In Car's Plunge. Frank A. Dyer Is Killed on Steep Grade in Kansas City, Kas. Frank A. Dyer,m 45 years old, 628 South Eleventh street, Kansas City, Kas., was killed late yesterday when a motor car he was driving overturned near Fifth street and Metropolitan avenue, Kansas City, Kas. David Lovett, 920 South Eleventh street, who was riding with Dyer, escaped with bruises on the body. He was taken home. According to Ellis Pedago and R. A. Wakeman, patrolmen, Dyer was driving up a steep grade east of Fifth street connecting Metropolitan avenue with the Ruby avenue drive. It is believed that he lost control of the car. It rolled over a small embankment turning over several times, and pinned the two men beneath it. Mr. Dyer is survived by his mother, Mrs. Josephine Dyer of the home; five sisters, Mrs. Ida Lewis and Mrs. Hazel Reed, both of Meriden, Kas., and Mrs. Nellie Englert, Mrs. Gladys Havis and Mrs. Ruth Burnelll, all of Atchison; and three brothers, Charles Dyer and Joseph Dyer of the home, and John Dyer, 826 South Thirteenth street. Mr. Dyer was an employee of Wilson & Co.
