R. Beryl Lemmon

Lexington Clipper-Herald, Lexington, Nebraska, January 26, 2000: Memorial services for R. Beryl Lemmon, 87, of Maui, Hawaii, formerly of Cozad, will be held Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at Cozad with Rev. Steve Deines officiating. Inurnment will be in the Cozad Cemetery. Beryl died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at his home in Maui. He was born Aug. 15, 1913, at Gothenburg to Roscoe and Lillian Norsworthy Lemmon. He graduated from Cozad High School. On Nov. 11, 1936, he married Veva E. Marsh. Beryl farmed and was involved in the alfalfa dehydration business at Cozad. Later he moved to Fremont and then to Twin Falls, Idaho, operating alfalfa mills at both locations. His wife preceded him in death in 1972. In 1973 he moved to Maui, Hawaii, following his second marriage. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: his wife, Kay; son, R. Charles Lemmon, Twin Falls, Idaho; daughter, Annette V. Roberts, Lakewood, Colo.; granddaughter, Dawn Douglas Weaver, Lakewood, Colo.; and three great-grandchildren, Deborah, David and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his first wife and one brother Donald. A memorial has been established in his memory. The Berryman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
