Tacoma New Tribune, Tacoma, Washington, August 12, 1957 page A6: Mrs. Rachael Amanda Stanhope, 64, of 808 No. 2nd St., died in a Tacoma hospital Sunday. Mrs. Stanhope was born in Canada and had moved to Tacoma in 1930. She was the widow of Lester H. Stanhope. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. K. K. Bohn and Mrs. R. F. Marano, Both of Tacoma, Mrs. L. R. Travis of Newport, Oreg., Mrs. V. M. Dumont of Smithers, B.C., and Mrs. L. A. Burr of Puyallup; two sons, Mack Stanhope of Seattle and Leonard Stanhope of Tacoma; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be announced by the C. C. Mellinger Funeral Home.
