Virginia Allison Kinchloe was born 23 March 1913 at Ripley, Lauderdale County, Tennessee. Virginia attended Arlington Hall, Southern Methodist University (S.M.U.), Newcomb College and received a B.A. degree from Mills College, Oakland, California.

Virginia married on 17 September 1935 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma to Dr. Joel Scott Price (Son of Joel Scott and Rilla (Reynolds) Price). Joel was born on 22 March 1902 in Dewey County, Oklahoma and received a B.S., Ph.D. and M.D. from Oklahoma University and is a well known physician.

She was the only child of Laura and John Allison Kincheloe, and was born March 23, 1913 in Ripley, Tennessee at Scott Lawn. Her parents moved to Oklahoma City when Virginia was eight years old. She graduated from Classen High School in 1930. Her parents sent her to four colleges in four years in order to experience all regions of the United States. She earned her B.A. from Mills College, Oakland, California in 1934. In the fall of 1934, she made her debut, presented by The Oklahoma Club. Virginia married Joel Scott Price, M.D., on September 17, 1935, and they had four children: Bob, Montine, Kelsey and Bill. Virginia and Dr. Price were together until his death in 1975. In 1977,Virginia married Lawrence T. Giles. Mr. Giles died in 1989. Virginia was devoted to her family and her community. She was President of the Pi Beta Phi Oklahoma City Alumnae Club and Edge Mere School PTA, as well as the founder of the first Mills College alumnae Club in Oklahoma. She raised money for the then newly-formed YMCA and YWCA and won prizes for ticket sales to the Junior League of Oklahoma City Horse Shows. She was proud of her work steering the finance committee for the first BeauxArts Ball benefiting the Oklahoma City Arts Center. In addition, Virginia was active in the building campaign for Westminster Presbyterian Church, as well as fundraising for Christ the King. Later in life, Virginia focused her attention and financial acumen on learning the family oil and gas business begun by Dr. Price. She learned to play duplicate bridge while in her seventies and found pleasure in keeping her mind active. Virginia's interests, however, never changed when it came to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy. She encouraged and supported them with her generosity in every endeavor. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren on ocean cruises, having learned the value of such experience from her extensive world travels with Dr. Price. Virginia's deepest sorrow was the accidental death of her oldest child, Robert Allison Price, in 1979 in Norway. She is survived by her children, Montine Price Sprehe, Kelsey Price Walters, and William Scott Price (Bill Price) and their spouses, Paul F. Sprehe. Roland A. Walters, M.D., and Mary Price, and by eleven grandchildren: Siri Reksnis and her husband Przemek, and Eirik Price, the children of Robert Price and Gudbjorg Price Chesnut; Dr. Scott Foerster, Steve Foerster and his wife Ann, Stan Foerster and his wife Lisa, and Tia Sprehe, the children of Montine and Paul Sprehe; Michele Walters, and Allison Walters and her husband Scott McElhaney, the children of Kelsey and Roland Walters; Anne Fine and her husband Randy, James Price, and Eileen Price, the children of Mary & Bill Price. Virginia is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Toren Reksnis, Daniel Foerster, Robert Foerster, Genevieve Foerster, Ashley Foerster, Price Foerster, Kailee Foerster, Harrison Foerster, and Christopher McElhaney.
