Visitors may call tonight from 6 until 8 at the Pass Road chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the chapel, followed by burial in Southern Memorial Park.

Dr. Jones was born in Aiken, S. C., and attended medical school in Charleston, S. C. He received a bachelor's degree from Presbyterian College and Medical School in Clinton in 1928. He entered active military service in 1935 and served in the European and Pacific theatres in India and Burma as medical supply officer, medical officer internist and hospital commander. He was the recipient of the American Defense Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medial with one Bronze Star. He was discharged in 1953, but continued his military service as a national guardsman until 1967, where he retired as a lieutenant colonel. Dr. Jones practiced medicine as a staff member of Dr. Gay Asthma Clinic in Biloxi and became the last director of the clinic until its closing in 1977.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Virginia Kirkpatrick Jones, and his parents, Dr. Frank D. Jones and Mrs. Mary Catherine Wyman Jones. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Alice Mansell of Hinsdale, Ill.; two sons, Scott H. Jones of Ocean Springs and Kirk D. Jones of Spartanburg, S. C.; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Raynal of Summerville, S.C., Mrs. Richard Sayre of Wisconsin, Mrs. Louise Dubose and Mrs. Edward Brailsford, both of Columbia, S. C.; a brother, Dr. Parker Jones of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family prefers donations to Handsboro Presbyterian Church.
