El Paso Times, El Paso, Texas, April 11, 1932, Page 10: Ray [Rea] L. Appleton Dies In El Paso. Following an illness of five days, Ray [Rea] Lunsford Appleton, 31, El Paso representative of the Ralston Purina products company, died at his home, 4011 Pershing drive, at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon. He had lived in El Paso for eight years, coming here from New Orleans. He is survived by his widow and a 10 month old son [daughter]; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Appleton, New Orleans, and three brothers and two sisters. He was a son-in-law of J. W. Kirkpatrick of El Paso. Funeral services will be held at Peak-Hagedon chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Rev. W. R. Smith will conduct the ceremony.
