El Paso Times, El Paso, Texas, September 21, 1949, Page 3: Mrs. Maud K. Farrar, 79, a resident of El Paso for 30 years, died Tuesday night in a local hospital. Funeral arrangements were pending with Kaster and Maxon. Mrs. Farrar was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include two sons, Lewis K. Thompson of Canutillo and W. C. Thompson of Clint, three sisters and one brother.

Farrar, 67, pioneer El Pasoan, who died Tuesday, will be held in the Kaster and Maxon Chapel at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Stewart W. Hartfelter officiating. Pallbearers will be George Staten, R. J. Wright, Jack Sharp, Roger Livingston, Dave White and F. E. Cauble. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Farrar was a member of Robert E. Lee Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy.
