Seattle Daily Times, October 16, 1968, Page 73, Col. 2: Funeral services for Ralph W. Nicholson, 71, of 9800 Bayard Ave. N. W., retired owner of Nicholson's Venetians, will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow in the Acacia chapel. Burial will be in Acacia. He died yesterday in a nursing home. Mr. Nicholson born in California, came to Seattle in 1929 and started one of the first venetian-blind companies, later called Nicholson's Venetians. He retired in 1967. He graduated from the University of California and served in the Army during World War I. He was a member of the Rotary Club, the Masons and the Washington Athletic Club. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Florence; two daughters, Mrs. Lester Lewis and Mrs. Joan Brownlee, Honolulu, and a sister, Mrs. Louis Ford, San Francisco.
