Reno Gazette Journal, June 16, 2005: Beatrice Stanhope, 93, passed away Thursday evening at a Fallon care facility. She was born Aug. 7, 1911 in Brokenbow, OK to James L. and Flora Taylor Garrison. She married John [Clifford David] Stanhope in Texas in 1929 and they retired to Fallon in 1971. Beatrice was a homemaker, dedicating her life to her husband and family. She enjoyed crocheting, needle work and family get-togethers. She was preceded in death by her husband and son, C.D. Stanhope. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Cloyce Barnes of Klamath Falls, OR; sisters Mamie Buhlig of Fallon and Juanita Hadley of Cloud Croft, NM; brothers, Jay and Allen Garrison of Richland, OR; grandchildren, Clifford Barnes of Lewistown, ID, and Coreen Reinke of Visalia, CA; great-grandchildren, Angie Curran of Ft. Collins, CO and Samantha Barnes of Phoenix, AZ. Funeral services were held June 13 at Smith Family Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Fallon Cemetery and a reception at the funeral home following interment.
