Harrol Lee Kiser

Harrol Kiser was born 19 November 1925 in Eureka, Texas. On 3 July 1947 he married Ione Irene Reasoner, daughter of Harlan S. and Irene M. (Shaw) Reasoner, who was born 6 April 1925 in Yuma County, Colorado. Harrol served in the Marine Corps for thirty-two years and retired as a Colonel. Ione worked as a data processor.

Posted at findagrave.com: As a young boy, Harrol lived at Clear Creek, Arkansas where his father worked his own farm. In 1935, the family lived at Gladewater, Texas; and, in 1940 at Yoakum, Texas where his father worked as a water pumper on an oil field. In 1942, he was in the Denver City High School band at Denver City, Texas. Harrol earned the Navy Cross when, in December 1950, he led his platoon to secure a hostile position near Hagaru-ri, Korea. He earned the Silver Star for leading his platoon against enemy aggressors from December 1950 through January 1951 near Chisa-don, Korea. He received the Legion of Merit for his service in Vietnam from June 1967 to June 1968 where he was directly responsible for the Piaster Expenditure Reduction Program which contributed to the stabilization of the economy of the Republic of Vietnam. Harrol married in 1947. Two children were born to him and his wife. He was a resident of Georgetown, Texas. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Lou Dellon Kiser Stephens, and his brother, Billy Jack Kiser.
