He was born in Iowa and lived in Lucerne Valley and Apple Valley for 32 years. Newcomer was a retired machinist. Survivors include a sister, Irma Morris of Torrance; and a brother, Paul Newcomer of Yucaipa. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Lucerne Valley with burial in Lucerne Vally Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Dudley Mortuary Chapel in Victorville.
