Southern Illinoisan, Carbondale, Illinois, Thursday, September 8,1949, Page 19, Col. 2: Mrs. Emma Biby, 88, Dies at Pinckneyville. Mrs. Emma Biby, 88, died early today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John A. Stumpe, wife of the Pinckneyville Mayor. Mrs. Biby had been ill a short time after a fall in the yard at her daughter's home last week. She lapsed into a coma and did not regain consciousness. She leave one other daughter, two sons, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist church in Pinckneyville, the Rev. M. A. Souers officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Pinckneyville.
