Centralia Daily Sentinel, Centralia, Illinois, Friday, August 1, 1890, Page 2, Col. 3: Died---At his home in this city, at 8 o'clock last evening, of typhoid fever, James A. Biby, aged 39 years and 11 months. The funeral will be held from the Baptist church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. James A. Biby has been a citizen of the city for several years, has proved himself to be an honest and upright man. and leaves a legion of friends who tenderly sympathize with the heart-broken family. He was the head officer in the order of the Modern Woodmen of America of this city, served as Alderman from the First ward, two month of which he acted as Mayor. The family has lost a kind and loving father, the city and community an upright and respected citizen.
