The Hawk Eye, Burlington, Iowa, July 24, 2008: Robert "Bob" Zinn, 95, died Nov. 1, 2007, in Minneapolis, Minn. Born Oct. 29, 1912, in West Point, Ill., he was the son of Harry and Emma Zinn. On Feb. 19, 1939, he married Virginia Graham White. Mr. Zinn worked at Peavey Co. in Minneapolis, retiring at age 65. He worked for Allied Mills Inc. in Indiana, Illinois and Iowa and was district sales manager in Mason City. He taught vocational agriculture at high schools in Edinburg, Sheldon, Carthage and Varna, Ill. He was a graduate of University of Illinois College of Agriculture. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Wentworth of Austin, Texas; one son, Harry C. Zinn of State College, Pa.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife. Friends and family will gather at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the cemetery in West Point, Ill. for burial.
