Beloved Family and Friends:
It is with great sadness that we write to tell you that Hilaria Obregon Vargas passed away last evening at about 11:00 PM with Tony, Margaret and Henry at her bedside. Mom was 92 years young and was more than a good Christian woman. She was the perfect daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. We could have never known a more Christ-Like individual than Mom. We will miss her more than words can tell. Even though she was my mother-in-law we were as close as mother and daughter. (Most folks cannot say that about their mothers-in-law.) I never found a flaw in her, not one - if she did anything "wrong" it was to love all of us more than we ever deserved. I am honored to have known her and am comforted in the knowledge of the grand re-union that she is now experiencing with all her loved ones who preceeded her in death, especially Dad (Ramon Vargas),and her sons - Rudy, Oscar and Reuben. The stars in heaven shine much brighter now that they have her presence among them once more.
