Cornwell Jr. of 1520 Barberry Lane, died Friday morning in General Hospital after a long illness. Native of Sumter; daughter of the late Horace and Daisy Bomar Harby; member of First Baptist church; did volunteer work for the handicapped; former Sunday School teacher; graduate of Converse College. Also surviving: sons, John Bennett Cornwell III of Charlotte, Michael Harby Cornwell of Greensboro; daughter, Miss Pamela Jeanne Cornwell of the home; brothers, Don Harby of Hawaii, Horace Harby of Clemson; sister, Mrs. Zehrne McKeown of Sumter; one grandson. Graveside services 3 today in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by Dr. Alastair Walker, Dr. William Ball and Dr. E. Gibson Davis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity. Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
