Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hattie Yongue Edwards; a daughter, Mrs. John Rumford of Fort Lawn; a son, James Gaston Edwards, Fort Lawn; four grandchildren; eight sisters, Mrs. Hoyle Gordon, Monroe, N. C., Mrs. Lucile Collins, Gainesville, Fla.; Mrs. Hugh Hicklin, Edgemore, Mrs. Lila Gordon, Rockingham, N. C., Mrs. I. N. Killian Sr., Gastonia, Mrs. Cecil Estes, Dallas, N. C., Mrs. Carl Belk and Mrs. Joe Jordan, both of Fort Lawn and a brother, Eugene Edwards of Fort Lawn. Services will be at 5:30 Monday from Fort Lawn Presbyterian Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Mahaffney Funeral Home is in charge.
