Chattanooga Times Free Press, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Saturday, October 18, 2003: Jessie Lorene Fletcher Cooke, 84, of East Ridge, went to be with the Lord on Thursday Oct. 16, 2003, at a local health care center. Originally from Buford, Ark., Mrs. Cooke had lived in East Ridge for the past 40 years. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Donald N. Cooke; her parents, Edgar and Danie Fletcher; her brother, Jewell Fletcher; her grandson, Jody Eaker; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Cooke.

Mrs. Cooke is survived by two sons, Jerry Cooke of Chattanooga and Wyman Cooke of East Ridge; three daughters, Sheryl Langford of Ooltewah, Shirley Eaker and Donna Cantrell, both of Ringgold, Ga.; six grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Hester Lipps of Fort Oglethorpe and Addie Belle Whitfield of Pineville, Ark.; a brother, Eudell Fletcher of Mountain Home, Ark.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Dodds Avenue Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Bales officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Turner Funeral Home, Dodds Avenue Chapel.
