Salina Journal, Saline, Kansas, Wednesday, July 6, 1983, Page 13, Cols. 5& 6: Mrs. Maxine Lucile Cooke Poe, 59, Florissant, Mo., a former Salinan, died Saturday at a Florissant hospital.

She was born Nov. 27, 1923, at Salina, and had lived in Salina for a number of years before moving to Missouri. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Lucile Cooks, 125 S. Oakdale; a son, Rodney Poe, Springfield, Mo.; a daughter, Deanna Steier, Florissant, Mo.; two brothers, Joseph Cooke, 1219 Arlington, and Carl Cooke, 3101 S. Foxboro Drive; three sisters, Joyce Massey, Lenexa, and Virginia Urbanek and Jan Krause, both of Tampa, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Roselawn Memorial Park, the Rev. Curtis Fulton officiating. The Ryan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
