Mount Pleasant News, Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Monday, January 22, 1968, Front Page, Col. 2: Webb Russell, Barber, Dies. Webb H. Russell, 71, died at Burlington Hospital Sunday, January 21, about 7:30 p.m. following an illness of the past five days. The son of Charles R. and Emma (Hodson) Russell, he was born February 14, 1896 in Henry county. Mr. Russell had operated barber shops in Mt. Pleasant the past 50 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. On March 22, 1942 he was married to Laura Lamb, who survives. Also surviving are five sons, Robert Russell and Wallace Russell of San Andreas, Calif., Walter Russell, serving in the U. S. Army, James Russell of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Beverly Russell of Mt. Pleasant; one brother, Glenn Russell of Rock Island, Ill. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, at 2 p.m. at the Crane, Ewart, Young Funeral Home. Interment will be in Friends Cemetery, Henry County, Ia. Friends may call at the Crane, Ewart, Young Funeral Home as they desire after noon on Tuesday.
