The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, Wednesday, December 7, 1994: Richburg---Mr. Floyd Watson Dixon Jr., 62, of Highway 99, died Dec. 6, 1994 at his home. Funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Shoals Presbyterian Church cemetery with the Revs. Clarence Fouse and Howard Wimmer officiating. Visitation is 7:30 to 9 tonight at Barron Funeral Home in Chester. Mr. Dixon, born in Chester, was the son of Sara McDill Dixon and the late Floyd Dixon. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a water pump serviceman. He was a member and a former deacon of Cedar Shoals Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Richburg Masonic Lodge 89. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Kirkpatrick Dixon; son, George Dixon; daughter, Ms. Kathy Small of High Point, N.C.; mother, Mrs. Sara McDill Dixon of Chester; sister, Mrs. Sara Ann Pressley of Rock Hill; two grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Cedar Shoals Presbyterian Church cemetery, Route 1 Box 28, Richburg, SC 29729.
