Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, June 3, 2010: SALISBURY - Mrs. Joyce Elaine Ridenhour Kirkpatrick, age 64, of Salisbury, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Born, March 18, 1946, in Rowan County she was the daughter of John J. and Evelyn Howard Ridenhour of Salisbury. She was a graduate of West Rowan High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received her Dental Assistant education. She was secretary for Rowan Septic Tank Company in Salisbury and was a member of Milford Hills United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, George Kirkpatrick; and three sons, Troy Dean Kirkpatrick and wife Mary Ellen of Salisbury, Kevin Drew Kirkpatrick and wife Lily of Gold Hill and Scott Holland Kirkpatrick and wife Ashleigh of China Grove. Also surviving are a brother, Ronald H. Ridenhour and wife Judy of Cleveland; and a sister, Diane Kirkpatrick and husband William of Salisbury. Six grandchildren survive her.

Visitation and Service: A visitation will be held Friday from 3-4 p.m. at Summersett Funeral Home with funeral services following at 4 p.m. in Summersett Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dr. Chris Hughes, minister, will officiate and burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park. Memorials: May be made to Milford Hills United Methodist Church, 1630 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144.
