Oliver Orlando Voss

The Oregonian, Portland, Oregon, Thursday, April 27, 2000: A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2000, in Prineville Community Church for Oliver Orlando "Ollie" Voss, who died April 24 at age 86. A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, in Mt. Scott Funeral Home.

Mr. Voss was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Springfield. He was raised in Portland and graduated from Franklin High School. He attended Moody College in Chicago and then moved to Los Angeles, where he worked as a golf starter for Los Angeles County. He also owned and operated a bowling alley in Los Angeles. He then managed an apartment complex in Huntington Beach, Calif., until his retirement in 1979. He moved to Prineville last year. He was a member of the church. In 1955, he married Violet Ozanne; she died in 1993.

Survivors include his daughters, Olivia Kramer and Barbara Tysell; sons, Paul Linder, David Linder and Lonnie Voss; sisters, Eldora Lowry and Eloise Steffens; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are by Prineville Funeral Home and Mt. Scott Funeral Home.
