Kalona News, Kalona, Iowa, Wednesday, September 16, 2015: Gladys B. Kirkpatrick, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, September 14, 2015 at Northbrook Manor Care Facility. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by William Kirkpatrick. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 - 7:30 PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Gladys was born August 4, 1924 in Iowa City daughter to Frank and Mary (Lusk) Belka. She graduated in 1942 from Iowa City High and started work at Iowa National Mutual. Gladys married Milton John Morris on February 6, 1945 and the marriage ended in divorce in 1955. She later worked at San Fords Newman's Department Store and Mays Drug at Town and Country Shopping Center. She was involved in options of Linn County for 45 years. She married Charles A. Kirkpatrick Jr. August 15, 1970 who later died on September 25, 1986. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Morris; step son, William (Marjory) Kirkpatrick; step daughter, Ellen (Steven) Amsden; and step son, David (Kathy) Kirkpatrick. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, LeRoy Belka; step daughter, Dorothy Kelly Kirkpatrick, and step son, Charles Kirkpatrick III.
