Roseville---Funeral services for Max Sanderson, 69, of Roseville, who died Wednesday in St. Francis Hospital in Burling, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Corman Memorial Home at Roseville. Military rites will be performed by the Lawson-Babbitt American Legion Post 614. Burial will be in Roseville Cemetery. The family suggested that memorials be donated to the Roseville Methodist Church building fund.

Mr. Sanderson was born Aug. 9, 1894, in Biggsville, and was married in Galesburg to the former Iva Kirkpatrick Oct. 11, 1919. Mr. Sanderson moved to Stronghurst when he was very young and moved to Roseville in 1922. Enlisting in the Navy May 13, 1918, he served in World War I and was honorably discharged Sept. 11, 1919, at Great Lakes. He was a member of the Roseville Methodist Church, the Roseville American Legion and Warren County Farm Bureau.

Surviving are his widow; a son, James Kirk Sanderson of Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Roy Smith of Los Angeles, Calif.; six grandchildren; three brothers, Guy and James Sanderson of Stronghurst, and Kenneth Sanderson of Moline; a half-brother, Richard Sanderson of Macomb; a stepsister, Mrs. Thomas Kent of Burlington, and his stepmother, Mrs. O. J. Sanderson of Stronghurst. He was preceded in death by an infant brother and one sister.
