Obituary from the Warren County Illinois Genealogical Society. Mrs. Kirkpatrick Dies Wednesday After Long Illness. Mrs. Lola Huston Kirkpatrick, wife of Earl H. Kirkpatrick, passed away at her home south of Roseville at 4:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 11, after an extended illness. She was 54 years old. She was the daughter of Charles and Ida (Davis) Huston and was born in Swan Township on April 8, 1895. Following her schooling at Western State College at Macomb, she taught the Booth School in Point Pleasant Township for three years. On October 3, 1917, she was united in marriage to Earl Kirkpatrick and they started housekeeping on the farm where she has spent all her married life. Surviving with the husband are seven children: Raymond of Princeton, Charles of Mount Carroll, Mrs. Mary Jane Primm of Blandinsville, Mrs Martha Case of Quincy, Robert of Champaign, and Miss Margery and James at home. She is survived also by 10 grandchildren: Garry and Sharon Kirkpatrick of Princeton; Kay, Linda and Vickie Kirkpatrick of Mount Carroll; Lola Jane, Floy Jean and Norman Primm of Blandinsville; and Jerry and Bobby Case of Quincy; and by three brothers, Ira, Ruben and Charles Huston, all of Point Pleasant Township.Mrs. Kirkpatrick joined the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church when a very young girl, later transferring her membership to the Roseville Baptist Church, where she was a faithful worker, as long as her health permitted. She was a member of the Fireside Class of the church and of the Roseville Home Bureau, the Point Pleasant Circle and the Roseville Woman's Club. Funeral services will be held at the Baptist Church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon Jan. 14, with Rev. Thomas Walsch conducting the services. Burial will be make in the Point Pleasant cemetery. Funeral Services for Mrs. Earl Kirkpatrick were held on Saturday after-noon at 2 o'clock in the Roseville Baptist church with the pastor the Rev. Thomas Walsch in charge. Miss Alice Kinsey sang "Ivory Palaces" and the "The Old Rugged Cross" with Mrs. Herman Steele accompanist in charge of the many flowers were Mrs. William Lee, Mrs. Ivan Adkisson, Mrs. Melvin Taylor and Mrs. H. L. Beckett. The casket bearers were Philip Adkisson, John Huston, George D. Beasley, Donald Kirkpatrick, Keith Davis and Lester Adkisson. The burial was made in the Point Pleasant cemetery.
