Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock on Saturday afternoon at the Corona First Congregational church for Mrs. Valeria L. Tuthill, wife of Arthur B. Tuthill. She passed away at the family home, 1117 Sheridan avenue, Corona, on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Edward A. Drake, pastor, will officiate. The death of Mrs. Tuthill removes from Corona a highly respected and beloved pioneer for she has resided in that community for the past 43 years. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Day Jewell of Corona and Mrs. Charles Greenwood of Los Angeles, a sister, Mrs. J. W. Chaney of Corona, and brothers, Loyal C. Kelley of Riverside and John P. Kelley of Los Angeles. Mrs. Tuthill was a devout member of the Congregational church of Corona, as well as an active worker in the Order of Eastern Star and the Daughters of Veterans. For some time she has been ill. Mrs. Tuthill was a native of Kansas. Had she lived until March 19 she would have been 61 years of age. Her husband is also well known throughout the country, having been for a number of years district superintendent of the highways.
