On 6 October 1951 (or 6 September 1952) he married in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, Rose Shipton Pickens, daughter of Jackson and Eudora (Shipton) Pickens, who was born 22 August 1924 [1929]. Kenneth and Rose owned and operated R & K Distributors in Longview, Texas. Kenneth served in the US Air Force as a bombadier in World War II.
