On Kentucky Marriages 1851 to 1900 there is a John Baker to Medie Baker, 15 January 1881 at Webster Co., Kentucky. Medie is probably a nickname of Almedia. Almedia's maiden name is also the same as her married name.

Mrs. Almeda* Florence baker, 80, 716 Maple street, North Little Rock, died in a Little Rock hospital Tuesday afternoon. A Resident of North Little Rock for 25 years, she had been ill for about two months. She is survived by four sons, W. G. Baker of North Little Rock, R. J. Baker of Little Rock, Thomas e. Baker of Pearch Orchard and Dr. J. H. Baker of Eufula, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Blalock of North Little Rock and Mrs. C. E. Toler of Little Rock; a sister, Mrs. Emma Baker of North Little Rock; three brothers, George and Russo Baker of Cotton Plant and Newt Baker of Kentucky; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Owens & Co.
