Mary CUNNINGHAM

Mary's baptismal sponsors were James Fitzgerald and Margaret Hartnett.
According to a public family tree on Ancestry.com, Mary was born in 1829. Parish records for Abbeyfeale do show a Mary Cunningham baptised on 13 March 1829 but the parents are John Cunningham and Mary Fitzgerald (sponsors were John Cunningham and Bridget Fitzgerald). It is possible that an error was made and the mother was actually Kate Fitzgerald, especially as the Abbeyfeale records show a Patrick and Bridget Cunningham, children of (the same?) John Cunningham and Mary Fitzgerald, baptised around the same time as our John and Kate's children Patrick and Bridget. In case the Patrick and Bridget Cunningham from the parish records are in fact John and Kate's children, here are their baptismal details:
Patrick, baptised 19 Feb 1833, with sponsors Patrick Fitzgerald and Margaret Fitzgerald
Bridget, baptised 27 Aug 1834, with sponsors James Fitzgerald and Mary Sullivan
If the Mary Cunningham who was baptised in March 1929 was indeed a daughter of our John and Kate, then it appears she died before 3 April 1838 when Mary above was baptised.

1. My information on the place of death of Mary above comes from a public family tree on the Ancesty website; I have not verified it.
2. Cunningham researchers may be interested to know that there is one other Cunningham baptism in the Abbeyfeale parish records, that of Partick Cunningham, baptised on 6 September 1859. The parents were John Cunningham and Catherine Keeffe, and the sponsors were James Fitzgerald and Mary Cronin.
