85, On Wed., July 23, 2003, of Pittsburgh. Husband of 60 years to Alice Isabella (Davis) Gillman; father of Patricia (Bruce) Knight, Nancy Gillman, Claudia (Patrick) McGrath, Charlotte (James) Episcopo, Karen (Michael) Sotace, and Kurt (Maureen) Gillman. Brother of Howard Gillman of Orlando, FL, and Helen Thayer of Omaha, NE. Grandfather of Michael, John, Brandon, Jennifer, April, Anthony, Michael Thomas, Rachel, Natalie, Zachary, Jeffrey, and Andrew; great- grandfather of Courtney, Alex, Lilliana & Thomas. Retired in 1983 from Duquesne Light Company with more 40 years of service. U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Member of the Greenstone Methodist Church, Avalon. He sang professionally in recitals, musicals, and church quartets throughout the Pghh area. His beautiful tenor voice will be remembered by all those who loved him. Services & interment were private.
