Alice Mary Pearson - Pueblo Chieftain - March 21, 2001 - Departed this life March 18, 2001. Alice was born in Modoc, Kan., June 20, 1906. Alice lived in Pueblo from childhood and in more recent years moved to Blackfoot, Idaho, and resided with family. She was active in church and civic organizations and held various offices in Carpenters Auxiliary, Local 362 in Pueblo. She remained active in church activities after moving to Blackfoot. She was a kind and caring wife, mother and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lawrence “Lucky” Goodbar; and husband, Mervin “Pete” Pearson. She is survived by her children, Warren V. (Barbara) Pearson, Donald L. Pearson and LaVilla (John) Shriver, all of Pueblo, and son, E.A. Tim (Diana) Pearson of Blackfoot; grandchildren, Danette (Derek) Groves, Berdine (Brian) Jordan and James, Brock and Jake Pearson; great-grandchildren, Kristin and Steven Groves; nephews, Arthur (Maybell) Pearson, Chelsie Pearson and Lawrence (Barbara) Pearson; niece, Margaret Stanifer; and numerous relatives. Viewing, 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 23, in the Adrian Comer Garden Chapel, 2710 N. Elizabeth, with the Rev. Robert Windsor officiating. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery. A reception will be held for family and friends at Wesley United Methodist Church, 85 Stanford, following graveside services. In lieu of food and flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, 85 Stanford Ave., Pueblo, CO 81005 or the charity of your choice.Endnotes
