ELIZABETH GEMAER, or GUMAER, was born March 22, 1750 (bogus date) and was the daughter of Pieter Gumaer, the emigrant, and Esther Hasbrouck. Her father was one of the owners of the Peenpack APatent in the present town of Deerpark. (For Gumaer genealogy see Church Life October 1892) The only child of Samuel Swartwout and Lisabeth Gumaer was Elizabeth, who married Benjamin Depuy, a prominent man in Deerpark, who removed to Owasco, NY where his children settled.
