Andreas (Jung) YOUNG

Land Deed's show that Andreas was living on the NW section of the Theobald Young Patent also called" The Kyle"
Andreas served in the Tryon Co Militia (rebel army) before and during the Rev. War and was involved in several bloody fights where both Andreas and his brother Adam(loyalist) and their son's were trying to kill one another during the war.
Between 1783 and 1787 he moved from the Mohawk Valley to Otego Twp NY. Why he left is not known but it may have been the result of conditions growing out of the war. The trip was made by flat boat and raft , through Otsego Lake, and down the Susquehanna, with several other families those of Frederick Hess and Scramblings.
