Grandfather was the family historian. It was he who did all the original family history work. He put all his knowledge and gathered information in typewritten form. He used his mother (Kate), and a female descendant of William BONE as his sources. I am almost positive that the information that led me to Sanilac County Michigan to find James came from William's descendant. I also believe that it is that same person who reported that John and Henry Bone moved out west. Unfortunately, she was dead before I took on the job of family historian so I could not fill in any obvious information gaps that grandfather should have filled.
Refer to grandfathers manuscript for his life story.
Most of the work regarding Sanilac County was done by his Grandson Craig assisted by Craigs father Douglas and wife Joyce.
