Peter Fitz Randolph began work with Wilson G. Hunt at north-east corner of Pearl and Chatham Streets, and was taken into partnership under the firm name of Wilson G. Hunt and Co. The business moved to the south-west corner of William St. and Maiden Lane, for eleven years. In 1862 the firm erected a marble building at the south-west corner of Park Place and Church St. When Wilson G. Hunt retired the firm was called Sullivan, Randolph and Budd.
