David FITZRANDOLPH

David Fitz Randolph was a Loyalist and reached Weymouth, Nova Scotia, from New Jersey in the spring of 1784. He was placed on the muster rolls in Weymouth July 18, 1784, and at that time said he had a family of seven. A schedule of the real and personal effects of David Fitz Randolph, formerly of Blazing Star in New Jersey, of Sissiboo (Ciscisboo, Sisisboo - later Weymouth, NS), (which had been confiscated and sold in consequence of his loyalty to His Majesty, and his attachment to the British) showed "A Farm or Plantation laying at the old Blazing Star in New Jersey, whereon he lived, amounting to 150 A[cres], with a very good large brick Dwelling House, outhouses, a large orchard, and a considerable quantity of Meadow on it, and the whole well improved valued with the improvements per voucher in the American office at Lb. 1700 8/ the Dollars."
