He was in vaudville for several years as part of a male quartet called "The Avalon Four". Later he lived and worked in Chicago, returning to Dallas a few years before his death. He lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan when his dad died in 1944. He and Elice adopted a son, Robert Redford Nash, born 5/22/18. He and Elice were divorced.
