Agriculture he made his life work and was one of the most successful of Ferguson township's agriculturists. Ten years ago he retired from active work on account of ill health and buying a nice home within sight of his old homestead where he was born lived there ever since. He was a man well known and most highly esteemed throughout his home community. Quiet and reserved he was possessed of those kindly traits of character that made him a friend of everybody and want for him greater esteem than is due the ordinary man.
