Bandits picked up moments after robbery
A Princeton man is in jail where he will be charged with armed robbery somtime reports Sherrif J S Hand. The orisoner was picked up at his home only a few minutes after Tom F Cave was robbed of $273.93 in cash and checks on Tuesday evening shortly after - oclock
The Caves who operate a grocery store in Princeton had returned home from work. Mrs. Cave entering th house while Mr Cave parked the car in the garage, When she opened the door she was faced with a masked bandit who took the money sack which she was holding. As he ran from the house, Mr Cave watched him proced down the block and turn to another street. Mr Cave immediately called the police dispatcher in McKinney who notified Depities Hendrix and Williams who sped to the sceen, followed by highway patrolman Sam Purtle. A suspect residing in Princeton was arrested on an old traffic violation and brought to headquarters by patrolman Purtle, Sherrif J S Hand, Attorney T E Williams and Purtle returned to the suspects home where they found most of the money in an out house, Upon further investigation the suspect 22 years of age confessed to the robbery and took officers to the school ground where he had thrown the money sack with the checks and silver.
Sherrif Hand commends the local officers for their alterness and Mr. and Mrs, Cave for nitifing the officers immediately.
