Death
Services for Mrs. Cora Velma Gantt, 74, life-long resident of Princeton, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Christian church there. Rev. Russell Sanders, Rev. Monty Montgomery and Rev. Malcolm Cave officiated and burial was in the Princeton cemetery, Horn Harris - Crouch Funeral Directors in charge.Pallbearers were: Larry Gantt, Robert Gantt, Danny Gantt, T. G. Woodard, David Gibson and Phil Mack.
She was born March 7, 1896 in Princeton the daughter of J. T. and Mary Darland Cave, and was married to John Raymon Gantt June 25, 1919 in Princeton. She was a retired postal clerk of the Princeton Post Office and had been active in the Princeton Christian Church before her illness.
Surviving are her husband, daughter, Mrs. T. G. Woodard of Princeton; sons, Robert O. Gantt of Grand Prairie; Jim Gantt of Allen; five brothers; E. L. Cave, Altoga; L. F. Cave, Princeton, Monroe Cave, Oklahoma City; T. L. Cave, Amarillo; G. W. Cave, Houston; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Wilson, Waco; Mrs. Ona Mae Richardson, McKinney; Mrs. Opal Crouch, Melissa; Mrs. Lorine Moore, Altoga, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Her parents, a son, Ray Junior Gantt and three brothers preceded her m death.
