In Honor of Edward BaileyFriday evening, the Downs Band, of which Edward has been a member, accepted an invitation to repair to the home of Mr. And Mrs. G. W. Bailey of this city, and partake of ice-cream and cake. This social event grew out of the intention of their son, Edward to go to Pennsylvania for a time, if not to stay permanently. Owing to the meeting of the High School Alumni Association the same evening, the exercises at the Bailey home were abbreviated as far as was consistent with propriety. We are requested by a member of the band to say that the gathering at M. Bailey's has not behind it the thought of impairing the meeting of the High School Alumni Association.
