George W Cave died 2 February 1922 in Collin County, Texas cause was Senility. He was born 23 January 1847 in Missouri. He was a farmer. His father was John T Cave born in Tennessee and mother was Elizabeth Preston also born in Tennessee. Informant was Mrs G W Cave of McKinney, Texas. Obituary in the McKinney Courier Gazette 2/3/1922 page 1. Column 6. George Washington Cave 75 year old died at his home three miles north of McKinney, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Deceased was born in Christian county, Missouri, January 23,1847. He united with the Christian church in early manhood. In December 1866 he married to Miss E F Fulton at Springfield, Missouri. He had been a resident of Collin County for many years. Funeral services were held at the family residence this afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. H. Snider of McKinney. Interment was made in the Orenduff cemetery. Deceased is survived by his widow and the following children; J.F. Cave, Melissa; W.T. Cave, Princeton, J.T. Cave at home, Miss Iva and Nellie Cave at home; Everett Cave, Winnaboro and Albert Cave, McKinney. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, J.T. Cave of Weston and J. F. Cave of Eden, Texas and three half brothers J.W. , W.H and AJ Brazeal all of McKinney.
