Marriage
The claim has often been made that Mary, the wife of Thomas Goble, son of the immigrant, was daughter of Ralph Mousall. In 1945 Olive M Searle and Guy L Howe demonstrated that this derived from a misreading of the will of Ralph Mousall, who made a bequest to "Mary Gobe," who was in fact Mary Gove, an adopted daughter, and not connected to the Goble family in any way. Furthermore, no evidence has been found that Thomas Goble, son of the immigrant, had a wife named Ruth.Endnotes
