In the name of God Amen. This Seventh day of July in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven. I Simeon Goble of the township and County of Morris in the state of New Jersey being of sound mind and memory blessed by God, but calling to mind and mortality of my body. Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament. Committing my soul to God who gave to me and my body to the dust from which it came to be buried after a decent Christian manner by my executors after my decease nothing doubting but by the Almighty God to bless me with in this world to give Bequeath and Devise in the Following manner.Item I first will and order that all my just debts funeral charges be paid out of my moveable estate by my executors here after mentioned after my deceased Including as having ... shall be ...
Item I give and bequeath unto my dear and beloved wife Abigail one third part of my moveable estate to her & for her own use to be disposed of as thee pleases and the use of one half of my dwelling house and one third part of my lands and tenements so long a thee shall remain my widow.
Item I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Aaron Goble the one half of the farm where on I now live name by the pasture part to be divided between him and his brother Enoch by running a straight line from the Northwesterly end to the southeasterly parallel with the two side lines of my lot unless he should run to the west of the ... to turn round the barn so as to leave ... on the western side to him his heirs and assigns as a good perfect estate of inheritance in fee simple he paying out the legacies hereinafter mentioned for him to pay
Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Sarah forty pounds with what she has her to for had to be paid her by my Executors hereafter mentioned
Item I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Silas five pounds besides what he has has to be paid him by my executors
Item I give and Bequeath unto my well beloved son Enoch the one half of the farm whereon I now live my dwelling house and barn that is the western half to be divided as described between him and his brother Aaron as above mentioned also my lot of land in the great swamp to him his heirs and assigns. As a good perfect estate of ... ijn fee simple also my young black horse be paying out the legacy herein after mentioned for him to pay to him I further give and bequeath unto my two well beloved sons Aaron and Enoch all my moveable estate of grain now growing on the land or on any part of my land to be fore their use benefit and behalf equally to be divided between them both excepting as here to for exceptions they pay out equally the debts of legacy mentioned for them to pay.
Item I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Martha forty pounds to be paid her by my executors.
Item I give and bequeath unto my three well beloved sons Abner Luther and Calvin fifty pounds each to be paid them by my executors as fast as they shall arrive to the age of twenty one years or ... of them to be paid then by my executors. All this above mentioned legacies to be paid in current lawful money of this state I further will and order that the Debt of two to the loan office of this county shall be paid by my two sons Aaron and Enoch equally between them after thir mothers right of third to taken out I further will and order that my three sons Abner Luther and Calvin be maintained by my wife and sons Aaron and Enoch equally until they are old enough to put out to trades and then to be ... out by my executors at their descresion with the approbation of their mother until they arrive to be age of twenty one year.
I hereby constitute and appoint ... that order that if any one of my children shall die before the come of age that their legacy will be equally divided and paid to their surviving brothers and sisters that have no lands given them by my executors. I hereby constitute and appoint my two sons Aaron and Enoch Goble my two sole and lawful executors to my last will and testament ratifying this and Mother to be my last will and testament, published and pronounced and declared in the presence of us the subscribers
