Thomas and Alice were admitted to the First Church of Charlestown on August 30, 1634, Thomas received his papers as a freeman September 3,163 and was granted 4 acres of land.The Goble family were probably Puritans considering the fact that the first residents of Charlestown were members of the church. Later residents that did not join the church did not recieve land and were not considered Puritans

Will dated 30 November 1657 and proved 29 December 1657, "Thomas Goble of Concord" bequeathed to "Alis my wife the profit of all my stock so long as she keepeth a widow, and my house at Charlestowne with all belongings thereto for term of life, and if my wife shall dispose of herself in marriage, then the stock that then shall be shall be disposed to my children as followeth: my three sons to have their portions equally divided, and my three daughters, each of them one-third of what my sons have, that is to say one-fourth part of my estate then in stock. And for my house at Charlestowne, my will is that at my wife's death that also shall be equally divided as the rest of my estate aforesaid; and whereas my daughter Sarah is yet to be disposed in marriage my will is that if she shall change her condition in marriage before the estate is to be divided, then my wife shall have poser to take out her proportion out of the estate and give it to her. And whereas my eldest son being now in England, my will is if he come not himself for his portion, then my other two sons shall have it equally divided between them, and if wither of my sons that b unmarried die before marriage, then thir portions shall be equally divided amongst the rest of my children then living ... and for m;y household stuff my; wife shall have that for the time of her life and then it shall be divided as aforesaid between my children, and my will is that my son Thomas his two children Thomas and Stephen shall have each of them one calf out of the stock two years hence.
