Josephine Jacks, 96, of Harrison, died on Friday, March 3, 2006.
She was a member of Bayside Baptist Church and contributed to starting the Girls Auxiliary Association at Greenwood Baptist and New Bethel Baptist churches. She was a retired school nurse at Tyner High School.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Irene Goheen; and her husband, Henry Jacks Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Frank) Scoggins, of Harrison; son, Henry (Sybil) Jacks Jr., of Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Gene Scoggins, of Harrison, Andrew (Teresa) Jacks, of Chattanooga, Susan (Randall) McCloud, of Lawrenceville, GA, Stacy (Frank) Alexander, Soddy-Daisy; four great-great-grandchildren, Garren and Bryce McCloud, and Jackson and Nicolas Alexander; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Tyler and Krista Gross.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East, with the Rev. Bob Stitts officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Homes Inc., Highway 58 Chapel, 894-2012.
