Mary Evelyn Goheen Cobb, 87, of West Melbourne, Fla., died Jan 17, 2002, at the home of her son, Charles, in Malabar, Fla. Mary was born in Clinton on Jan 27, 1914, the daughter of Dale Edward Goheen (1899-1972) and Elfie Amelia Boyce (1893-1973). She was also a descendent of John Goheen (1796- 1866) and Elizabeth Headly (1797-1882), pioneer settlers of Lenawee County, and was born on the family homestead in Clinton Township.Mary was a legal secretary and court stenographer for any years for Genesee County, New York district attorneys.
he is preceded in death by her husband, Charles of 59 years.
She is survived by two sons, Charles and his wife Tracy of Malabar, Fla. and Thomas and his wife, Aalene of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; two sisters, Phyllis Vaderlaan of Clarkson, N.Y. and Marjorie Clarke of Gananoque, Ontario and two grandchildren, Matthew Cobb of Portland, Maine and Elizabeth Cobb of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
Funeral service were held Monday Jan 21 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Indialantic.
